ECSTATIC Screen Notes comes to you from Western Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh and about 20 minutes away from one of the greatest locations in horror movie history, the Evans City Cemetery featured in the opening scenes of the 1968 George Romero classic Night of the Living Dead.
Jen and I took a day trip to the cemetery after watching the movie the night before, and thought we would share some photos as a Halloween treat. The final shot is of the grave of Grace and George Cole, which was used as the grave of Barbara’s father in the film. The lovely cross was already at the site when we came across it.
Happy Halloween from ECSTATIC!
